Healthy Senior
Grant Program

Supporting wellness programs for older adults, addressing needs from hunger and food security to transportation, social connection, overall health, and caregiver support to empower individuals to age with dignity and maintain their independence.

What We Fund

The Mary E. Bivins Foundation is committed to amplifying the efforts of community organizations dedicated to improving the lives of older adults across the Texas Panhandle.

Applications will be accepted for projects addressing all aspects of healthy aging.

Preference will be given to requests that address the issues of senior hunger, food security, and nutrition.

  • The provision of meals, food boxes, care packages, and senior-specific pantry items.

  • Capital improvements such as building remodels to kitchens and senior centers.

  • The purchase of equipment including ovens, freezers, sinks, pallet stackers, etc.

  • Education and wellness classes, community gardens, and other social opportunities.

  • Wheelchair ramps and other accessible equipment.
