What We Fund
The Mary E. Bivins Foundation launched the Rapid Response Grant Program in 2022 to be responsive to organizations in real-time to ensure the needs of food insecure older individuals are met.
By accepting applications on an ongoing basis and utilizing a simplified application process, the Rapid Response Grant Program allows community organizations to access critical funding as needs arise in the following categories:
Emergent
-
Urgent and unforeseen needs which require quick action to avoid service interruption.
Time-Sensitive
-
Beneficial opportunities which cannot wait for regular grant cycle timing constraints.
Modest
-
Requests which may not be time-sensitive or crisis-based but are practical and can be met with $5,000 or less.
All requests must be related to addressing food insecurity among older adults in some way.
